2014 was the year Rita Ora tried (and failed, unfortunately) to be a "thing" in the U.S. She collaborated with Calvin Harris on "I Will Never Let You Down", which radio stations let down, and with Iggy Azalea on "Black Widow", which was successful and was her first Billboard 100 hit. Still, her solo music never hit it off this side of the pond. Her debut album, "ORA", wasn't released stateside at all. Things are looking up in 2015, after starring in an ad for a Fast & Furious theme park ride and appearing in Fifty Shades Of Grey (whose soundtrack spawned two Billboard Hot 100 Top 10's and featured Beyoncé). The music video for her new single, "Poison", became an iTunes Top 10 bestseller, and she just had a photo shoot with R&B singer Chris Brown, who features on her upcoming single "Body On Me". Ora's second album and American debut will be released on Roc Nation soon. I am excited to hear how it will sound, as both artists have different styles.
