Miley Cyrus Something Beautiful

Miley Cyrus's upcoming ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, is slated for release on May 30, 2025, through Columbia Records. This ambitious project marks a significant evolution in Cyrus's artistic journey, presenting a visual album that delves into themes of healing and self-discovery.​

Inspired by Pink Floyd's The Wall, Something Beautiful comprises 13 tracks that blend genres such as alternative R&B, soul, jazz, experimental rock, and psychedelic pop. The album opens with "Prelude," a spoken-word piece accompanied by electronic instrumentals, setting a contemplative tone. The title track transitions from a soulful ballad to an explosive chorus, while "End of the World" offers a disco-inflected anthem reflecting on escapism amidst chaos.​

Visually, the album is complemented by a musical film co-directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter, scheduled to premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 6, 2025. The film, described as a "pop opera," integrates fashion, art, and narrative, featuring Cyrus in archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture, as captured by photographer Glen Luchford.​
