Former singer from the post rock band Selebrities, Maria Usbeck is making a radical change in sound for her debut solo album, Amparo. Gone are the synthesizers, the bass and the frustration in her voice. In Amparo ("to guide, protect and embrace") we are guided to a cosmopolitan homesickness, with the album being recorded over a period of three years across the Americas.
