Mayer Hawthrone, born in Michigan in 1979 is a Soul, Funk and Neo-Soul artist with famous singles such as ``Her Favourite Song`` or ``The Walk``. He has been at it since 2008, his first album in 2009 titled ``A Strange Arrangement``. He is apart of a 2 man Funk and R&B band by the name of ``Tuxedo`` whom released a self titled Album last year. The first couple singles from this album proves to show he is changing his style, most likely influenced by his work from ``Tuxedo``. He is taking a more of a Funky turn with this album, and sounds very exciting. You may just want to go back to the Disco you drove by in 1978 listening to this record. Mayer Hawthrone has been known to take you back. He has a very nostalgic sound, influenced by the likes of Al Green, Steely Dan, Nate Dogg and even Zapp. Man About Town comes out April 8th, 2016 on Vinyl, CD and of course Digital.
