Nina Becker Acrílico

After her work with Orquestra Imperial and her solo album, "Vermelho" and "Azul" in 2010, and the project "Minha Dolores" in 2014, the carioca singer Nina Becker is set to present her new project, through Natura Musical, in 2017. Entitled "Acrílico", it's composed of 12 tracks - new ones and some reinterpretations - recorded live in a bossa jam session with musicians Pedro Sá (electric guitar), Renato Massa (drums), Rafael Vernet (piano) and Alberto Continentino (bass). In "Acrílico", Nina will conduct an intense creative process, in which all and every plasticity will be considered - in sound and image. The purpose is to go further the music and to transpose its creative universe to visual arts, as Nina has a scenography background.

In addition to the show Nina will do at Casa Natura Musical for the releasing of "Acrílico", the album will also have an audiovisual project that's being made in partnership with Canal Brasil, directed by Felipe Nepomuceno. The recording process of the songs is presented in black and white images, shot with camera in hand. With the direction of photography by Lula Carvalho, the film synthesizes the visual aesthetics of "Acrílico" in cinematographic language. In it, the recordings are interspersed with plastic images constructed by the artist through scenographic elements, paintings and drawings, finally joining Nina'a two crafts and passions in a single project.
