One of the few modern musical acts to successfully incorporate bagpipes into a song, Gothenburg’s sir Was (aka Joel Wästberg) is the newest addition to the City Slang roster. Blending Tame Impala-reminiscent vocals like a beam of light with playful yet melancholy electronic production, “a Minor Life” is the first single off Wästberg’s upcoming EP. Fredrik Egerstrand’s video is a mix of the bizarre, the surreal, and the mundane, giving audiences the sense that this project will be an intriguing combination of the three.
