As FRAME, Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary musician, composer, engineer, and producer Caitlin Frame records anthemic art-pop songs that recall the post-punk and disco of the late ‘70s. On her debut LP, State of Mind, she uses emotive, polyrhythmic music to detail the dissolution of an 8-year relationship with her wife. The album touches on the many facets of the experence—polyamory, jealousy, new love—and “manages to do it in a way that feels, suitably, beautiful and revealing, as well as, occasionally, crushingly sad,“ says Gold Flake Paint.
