Thundercat has announced his latest album, titled 'Drunk', will be released on February 24th on Brainfeeder (home of FlyLO, Kamasi Washington, Captain Murphy). This record follows up 2015's excellent mini-album 'The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam'. The guest list is staggering, boasting collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa, and Flying Lotus. Additional guest spots were doled out to yacht rock heroes Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald. The first single, 'Show You The Way', is available on Spotify and other streaming services now. In addition to the album, Thundercat also announced a mammoth world tour that will take him to three continents and a smattering of music festivals.
I’m so, so excited to see if this actually ends up as AOTY for me. It’s absolutely possible, but still; Gorillaz are dropping something this year as well. No matter what, I’m so fucking hyped for this thing. “Bus in these streets” is THe guilty pleasure of my life.
