Deerhunter have announced a new album called "Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared?", out January 18 (via 4AD). “Death in Midsummer” is its first single. "Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared?" follows 2015’s "Fading Frontier". Album track “No One’s Sleeping” concerns British MP Jo Cox, who was murdered in 2016 by a Neo-Nazi. The new record was produced by Cate Le Bon, the band, Ben H. Allen III, and Ben Etter. Tim Presley appears on the song “Futurism”.
