LA-based Lisa Papineau has announced her fourth solo record for release on February 15 and shared a video for the title track at Parade Magazine.
"Minimally produced with uber-present vocals underlying a contemplative and simple stop animation video, the song and video showcase Papineau’s lush and lovely vocals."
Lisa Papineau is probably best known for her work with ex The Mars Volta and Racer X bass player Juan Alderete under the name Big Sir, as well as for collaborating with other artists like Matt Embree from Rx Bandits.
The video was created by Betsy Kenyon. Papineau reveals, “Betsy and I first collaborated together as part of a performance art group that eventually made its way to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We were very interested in playing with forms of storytelling, be they traditional or non-linear and abstract. It’s always been such a pleasure for me over the years to see what Betsy is cooking up in her lab. She has worked in, and takes to like a fish in water, so many different mediums, but regardless, everything she creates always has her distinctively personal eye and touch.”
