Well….they aren’t Christian anymore….but kinda knew that was coming with the 2nd coming of underOATH.

Totally different sound this time around…..

They don’t define themselves as a Christian band anymore because some of the members no longer practice or identify themselves as Christians any longer. They would rather just believe in what they want and play the music they wanted to, without being labeled as a Christian hypocrite. This is old news though since they stated all this in their “Tired Violence” DVD from back in 2015.

I wouldn’t say “totally” different sound, since this is only 1 single off an 11 track album. Band evolve with every release, so i’m sure they will experiment with their sound a bit, but i’m also sure they’ll stay true to their core since it’s a comeback album and all.

What is christian? Is it a person who openly and usually rudely lets others know that they too are susceptible to being brainwashed like an idiot? Thankfully they don’t have to be labeled as a hypocrite any longer. wooooo

Hahaha no Andy boy that “label” that your talking about is totally fucking wrong, that’s what someone put into ya head to make you believe that shit….see now a days this world we call ‘Free’….FUCK that, nothing is free, not even the breaths you take of air in a day. Not one person today can truly Express the way they feel without an argument breaking out.

& @slade what I meant was spencers vocals & some instrumentals. his voice has definitely changed within more then 10 years of the yelling he was doing for years.

Got my vinyl yesterday. What a sleepfest. A total and complete letdown. I knew this was coming the second the producer said in the video “we’re getting ride of those breakdowns” when he was looking at what they had ready

Looking forward to this album. The two songs they made in 2012 “Sunburnt” and another one were, in my opinion, underwhelming. I see now that they were a precursor to what was to come in this album. At first I had a hard time getting used to their new sound but now I’m just happy they’re back! I plan on seeing them live. I feel like I’m in High school again, when I obsessed over this band. I probably listened to Define the Great Line a million times, and I bought 3 or 4 UO t-shirts.
