Chart-topping Finnish heavy metal band Battle Beast are in preperation for releasing their fifth album, "No More Hollywood Endings" on March 22nd 2019 via their label, Nuclear Blast and have given a first taste to the fans with the eponymous title track. The song is described as a "hymn to individuality" by Janne Björkroth, (keyboardist): "The song tells a story about living up to other people’s expectations and becoming a kind of a sidekick in one’s own life. Hollywood conventions and media set unrealistic expectations and narrow ideals about such things as beauty and happiness, and it’s easy to get lost while trying to fit the mould. The song claims that there isn’t a universal pattern for happiness, but everyone has a right to be respected as they are and live a life that suits for themselves." It was released January 18th, 2019, accompanied by a video directed by Markus Nieminen and produced by Oy Routafilmi AB & Tuotantoyhtiö Legenda.
The album will mark a style change for the band, as well as new elements to their previous sound, such as live string sections and new singing styles for Noora Louhimo, their vocalist. In her words: "Battle Beast has created itself a shiny new skin and we're showing it off with pride. With music more theatrical and empowering than ever before, we're taking our listeners to brand new emotional and musical landscapes. This will be an adventure that just needs to be experienced live!" However, it's not just simple change, but an evolution of their sound. As Janne Björkroth puts it: "The heavy songs are heavier, pop-delights brighter, rock vibes stronger, and sounds richer than before. The emotional scale is wider, and everything is bigger."
The band will waste no time and start touring on release day, first in their home country of Finland and then the rest of Western Europe, followed by Russia in late spring and Northern America in the fall. They will also participate in several summer festivals including Masters of Rock 2019 and Wacken Open Air 2019.
