The new Tool album is titled Fear Inoculum, and yes, it will see an Aug. 30 release date.

Tool cryptically reveled their fifth album’s name via Instagram. Loudwire has confirmed with Tool reps that Fear Inoculum is indeed the title of the massively anticipated full-length record.

Tool’s never been my favorite band but they do come out with some really kewl grooves in some of their songs. Album is decent so far. 6 tracks over 10 mins. each. Nice one. :)

Looooooooong…. and boring. Way to atmospheric. They went all the way down the Prog rock rabbit hole on this one. It is worse then 10000 days. They can no longer play faster then a turtle, casually walking to Sunday school and MJK has totally lost his ability to shout and it shows. They almost have a climax at the end of a few songs. But it never really comes. The whole thing seems like a long trip to nowhere. It is everything I specifically did not want it to be and almost nothing that I did want it to be. 7empest had some pretty good moments that almost reflected the more heavy times of TOOL, but it ultimately just serves as a painful reminder of what the band can no longer do.

Still way better than anything you have ever done in your entire life. Also, mom says to come out of the basement because your pizza rolls are ready.

I dont like the album so everybody has to insult me as if I said something about their mother. TOOL fans are the worst. It does not matter what kind of garbage the band shat into the world, 90% of the fanboys would still jack off to it, as if it were the best thing ever.

I’m a hardcore Tool fan, and this is album is TRASH, is like they chew the three previous albums and they spit it into our mouths. There’s NOTHING new, neither something to be amaze about this album, is like you said, is boring. I find myself listen to EVERY track waiting for something to amaze me or wanting to the song to end soon.

And for the record, the album sounds great, the mastering is on point, but this album has nothing to offer as a Tool fan, I cringe listening to it.

If someone disagree with “A small fraction of people” like us, go and watch Fantano review on the record.

After fully digesting the album after about a dozen listens I can honestly say that it is an absolute masterpiece. Of coarse like anything Tool it takes a few listens to fully grasp it. Musically it is on par with lateral us. The only problem being there isn’t enough tracks to say it’s better. That if anything is the only problem I have. I think there should have been 1-2 more tracks. But make no mistake the 6 songs on the album are all brilliant and real Tool fans are gonna love it

Im posting this as a legit purchaser of the special amazon video packaged CD that physically has a speaker, and rechargable battery AND INCLUDED A CABLE. FUCKING APPLE DOESNT EVEN DO THAT SHIT ANYMORE (FUCK YOU TIM COOK!) ok /rant off

I can’t download my purchased content, they gave me a smarturl and they offer a login box, I don’t have a u/p just a code to type in, is it locked until release date I wonder?

    Anyone know?

I listened to the physical disc and it is funny how the above poster liked it and didn’t all at the same time, yes the band got older and evolved, if Maynard was just screaming the whole time like he did in Opiate people would say the band hasn’t changed or something, they can’t win! As a guitar player who covers tool I did it, especially 7empest.If you want old school head banging tool just skip to that song, the rest is meant to be a journey where you put on the cans and take a trip. me? I loaded up on CBD Edibles as they are legal here. I give it a 9/10 there is some weird mix/cuts on a few tracks, you kinda can feel this sat in Protools for years and kept getting tweaked and tuned, or worse Logic Pro X as Apple fucked them hard like the rest of us and now songs need to be redone as the code makes shit sound different with improved codec code etc.

Anyway, its Tool, just buy it and support the bands work. I need to go back to practicing the changes.
