Future Islands have announced a new album. The record will be called "As long as you are" and will be released on October 9th. In parallel with the announcement, the synthpop band has also released a new single.
“Thrill” comes with a minimalist video in which only singer Samuel T. Herring can be seen.
"As long as you are" is the sixth album by Future Islands and the follow-up to "The far Field", which was released in 2017.
In between, singer Herring took a short digression as a rapper and last year released the hip-hop record "Back at the House" under the name Hemlock Ernst.
For the first time, their longtime tour drummer Mike Lowry was at their side as a full band member.
