Thoughts Factory are a German progressive metal band influenced by different styles and genres. Five musicians shaping a new and exciting metallic sound similar to Symphony X and Dream Theater, with some gloomy references such as Opeth, all the way to progressive rock (Transatlantic, Neal Morse, Ayreon).
Many different elements have inspired this debut album "Lost", whose story deals with the suicide of a loved one. This personal work sends one on a journey of restlessness, survival and the process of emotional questioning.
Dark passages, straight ahead metal riffs and tender keyboard melodies blended with orchestral euphoria are all included in this debut offering. Fat Grooves, breathtaking melodies and extraordinary solos are also highlights of the recording.
In charge of engineering was Kristian "Kohle" Kohlmannslehner, who also produced big names as Powerwolf, Sieges Even and Subsignal.
