March 5th 2014 the record label known for it's link to artists such as Magic Man (whom remixed 101 Vultures a single released by Winston in 2013) posted the following paragraph, accompanied by Alex Winston's YouTube video, which held part (Episode 5 to be exact) of The Wild Honey Pie's music video collection:
Our dearly beloved Alex Winston hinted at big things on the horizon with comeback stunner “101 Vultures” last fall, and today we get another taste of things to come with the live unveiling of a new anthem-in-waiting, “Houdini”. Filmed as part of Wild Honey Pie‘s On The Mountain series – which also includes a nigh-on religious rendition of “Vultures” - “Houdini” rides a triumphant synth riff to one of Winston’s most overpowering choruses to date, as serpentine cautionary tale verses slither throughout. It’s a perfect introduction to one of our favorite songs of the year; be sure to keep an eye out for the forthcoming studio version in the months to come.
Hopefully this new single, which was discreetly released and not publicized will accompany a possible new Alex Winston album, but first we can only hope for studio edition of Houdini.
