Torn Hawk will release an album through Mexican Summer on November 10th.
The record's title, Let's Cry And Do Pushups At The Same Time, encapsulates Luke Wyatt's burly-yet-sensitive approach. Though it's Wyatt's third LP as Torn Hawk—he released 10 For Edge Tek on his own Valcrond Video label in 2013 and Through Force Of Will via Not Not Fun earlier this year—it'll be the first to land on vinyl. It will also be available digitally and on CD.
In addition to his music, Wyatt is a noted visual artist, and has crafted a number of video clips (in a hazy, VHS-fuelled style he calls "video mulch") to accompany his own recordings as well as those of his peers.
Mexican Summer say Let's Cry And Do Pushups At The Same Time is "built from live guitar, drum machines, junky synths, and layers of acid-washed samples."
