Formed in Nyborg, Denmark in 1993, Saybia (Søren Huss — vocals, Jess Jenson — keyboards, Jeppe Langebek Knudsen — bass, Sebastian Sanstrøm — guitar, Palle Sørensen — drums) self-released a number of EPs before securing a major label deal with EMI. 2001 found the band working on their debut for the label, the Second You Sleep, but by 2003 tensions were high enough that the band decided to take a different approach for their second album. That album, These Are the Days, recorded in Sweden, was finally released in 2004. Their third full-length, Eyes On the Highway, released in 2007, was a hit in Europe.
