When you came across this new album by The Arcana, the first thing that strikes you is the amazingly vibrant artwork on the cover, kind of like English country garden meets futuristic city skyline (apt considering the title). There is quite an interesting mix of styles here, definitely Beatles and Monkees in tracks like Despair, Ghostwriter and Looking Out For You; but also The Rolling Stones in the track Fool Me and the psychedelic trippy Hendrix feel in title track Tomorrow is Yesterday and Something's Coming Down. Mr. Potts' Discovery is a really quirky upbeat song, where as the track The Game has a kind of Santana feel to it with a great vibe and a nice flowing acoustic guitar. Sometimes, Fallen Bird and When the Feeling's Gone are more laid back tracks, but all with the same unforgettable melodic uplifting style. Flying High is more of a funky song, reminding you of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
This music is fresh and exciting and has a real originality to it. Once you begin playing the album, you won't be able to get the songs out of your mind!
