Philadelphia-by-way-of-Lancaster band the Districts will return in 2020 with "You Know I’m Not Going Anywhere". This album marks the first full length from the band since "Popular Manipulations" was released in 2017. That album found the band finding a distinctive and mature sound, refining the charmingly rough sound they had developed on their first two albums which were recorded while the band members were still in their late teens/early 20s. This new offering started as a bedroom project of bandleader and principle songwriter Rob Grote. A total of some 32 songs were recorded and then whittled down to 11 to be recorded by the full band. First track "Hey Joe" displays a robust palette and mature sound while still fitting right alongside the bands previous work.
