Mariah Carey's next studio installment has been delayed, from initially set to be released last year - It's now set for a May 6th release.

On Twitter, the former "American Idol" judge posted a picture of her in the pool with a caption, "A much needed splash after hours pon de mic singing for my #beautiful #lambily! Melancholic moment letting go of something this personal to me yet I couldn't be more excited to give three years of my soul to the fans."

The album is preceded with the chart-busting lead single "#beautiful" that features Miguel. Co-written by the two artists, the hashtag song has reached No. 15 on Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Since then both the titled track and "You're Mine" has been released, the latter can be heard below.

Guys. I’m pretty sure this album isn’t coming out anytime soon. Mariah still hasn’t said any official word on it, and the album cover hasn’t even been released yet. Walmart most likely posted it on as an accident, which is why it was taken down very shortly.

I’m surprised no one’s edited this. The second single, You’re Mine, as long as a remix with Trey Songz, was released on February 12th. And it was also announced that the album is officially going to be released on May 6th, 2014. (:

In an interview with Billboard, Mariah stated that she was going for some type of “all at once” release, where many people likened it to Beyonce’s surprise album release. The official title is also announced NOT to be “The Art of Letting Go” anymore, and she’s taking time to select a new title. Many fans are dubious whether the album will be out on May 6th or not anymore, as she’s made no comments on the release date since the announcement video.

The album is now called “Me. I Am Mariah”. Can this be amended, please?
