A 12-track album “New” will arrive Oct. 15, McCartney announced late Wednesday, with the deluxe edition including two bonus tracks. The “New” single is available on iTunes and SoundCloud.
According to Rolling Stone, McCartney’s been working with a number of producers in recent months, including Ronson, Ethan Johns, Paul Epworth and Giles Martin; outside of Ronson’s work on the title track, whose work made the cut has yet to be announced.
The album will be McCartney’s first studio set of originals since 2007?s “Memory Almost Full,” which bowed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. (Last year’s “Kisses on the Bottom,” which bowed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, was largely a covers collection.)
It’s not the Japanese edition (with exclusive bonus track ‘Struggle), but the deluxe edition with two bonus tracks (‘Turned Out’ and ‘Get Me Out Of Here’) plus hidden track ‘Scared’, which is also part of the regular CD.
