Panic! At the Disco is preparing to put out their impending full-length studio album, Death of a Bachelor, on January 15, 2016. Singles "Hallelujah" and "Victorious", and have debuted in digital formats, and "Death of a Bachelor"—the title track—streamed on Apple's Beats 1 Radio September 1 and is now streaming on various media outlets. Death of a Bachelor makes the fifth Panic! At the Disco record.
I hope this is better than the last album!
Truu. ME TOO.
I actually liked the new album. But I wasn’t really a fan of everything prior to Vices And Virtures
Sounds eclectic and commercial.
So excited for this!
Death of a Bachelor and Emperor’s New Clothes have me totally stoked for this album.
This album sounds so good already. I can’t wait to hear the rest of it.
LA DEVOTEE. OMG. 10/10
It’s my favourite so far!
me too :D
Couldn’t agree more! The best one yet from this new album!
Panic! needs to stop with the amount of songs they’re releasing before the album drops. Might as well just stream it now.
Excited for this! :)
So far I’ve liked every track I’ve heard… the only major disappointment so far has been Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time. I wanna start by saying I’m only disappointed in this track because Panic seriously knows music. Seriously. These guys are pure talent and charisma and the mainstream industry is perpetually lacking in legitimate, non-corporate songwriting. “Don’t Threaten Me” takes a note from Fall Out Boy’s playbook (sampling the riff from The Munsters Theme on Uma Thurman) but instead samples the legendary riff from “Rock Lobster” by The B-52s. The production on Uma Thurman makes it clear that it’s an homage to the epic, almost lost, riff. Panic probably had the same intention here but it’s more musically involved in the song and the song would seriously lack without it. It’s kind of feels like an homage to Uma Thurman with a Good Charlotte “Good Morning Revival” vibe, but that makes no sense. Especially if you don’t know the song Uma Thurman.
Negativity aside, I’m still super excited and plan to buy the album on both CD and vinyl :)
I agree for the most part. I immediately thought it sounder like a lesser Uma Thurman sampling-wise. This and victorious are the only songs I don’t like. Much of the songs seem to have a similar sing-really-fast-in-catchy-way theme to them. Hope the entire album isn’t like that.
I really like victorious, saw a live version of it and he seemed to struggle through it but the song is great in my opinion.
You realize it’s just Brendon Urie now, right?
Your point being?
It is but it isn’t, I’ve come to terms with the fact that Panic, like FOB, is a brand. There’s more than one head on these tracks, hence “these guys”. No solo artist is actually solo anymore :/
i cant believe he hasnt leaked this himself yet ???? i want iiiit
I NEED this to leak before Friday!!! I won’t have access to Internet for a couple months, it’s now or never!
It will definitely leak Wednesday at the latest.
buy a physical copy?
@philidash
@xd_716 Thanks for the suggestion, I thought of that too! But I’m leaving on a volunteer trip for a couple months and my music library is all on my desktop computer… So even if I bring my laptop, I won’t be able to synch the album to my iDevice -_-
Leaked! it’s amazing!
Golden Days might just be my favorite. Due to the Vices & Virtues sound it has. However, Impossible Year is a GREAT Sinatra sounding track. Those two shocked me on how perfect they were.
It’s a good album! I like every track!
