While you were away for the holidays, you might have missed some of the news stories circulating the past few weeks. While the labels stop hammering out press releases, it doesn’t necessarily stop artists from sharing new music or surprise us with a bit of drama. Here’s the rundown.

LCD Soundsystem and Guns N’ Roses reunite

While the DFA management told us we were stupid enough to believe the LCD Soundsystem reunion rumors back in autumn, the band is set to headline Coachella this year. Together with non other than the original Guns N’ Roses line-up. Axl Rose will appear on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show tomorrow night, probably to confirm the rumors (Update: He cancelled the show, but Slash has confirmed the rumors). But I don’t think he’s going to publicly say he’s sorry for being an ass to Slash, and a range of other artists and fans. As long as we don’t get the dreadlocks, I’m good.

Drake is releasing his new album on Friday?

One of the rumors floating around is that Drake is dropping Views From The Six this Friday, as a surprise release. While he did re-enter the studio in October of last year to finish the album, the rumor is still a rumor.

Radiohead actually did a version of the Spectre theme

While Yorke’s mellon collie vocals doesn’t really fit the commercial approach of a Bond movie, don’t miss out on the mashed-up video version below. It’s the actual intro video from the movie, layered with Radiohead’s take on the theme.

Rihanna’s album is ready, Travis Scott is the one holding it back

This according to one of the album’s producers, John Glass. Whatever the case is, we’re still waiting for the Anti download. With her diary entries coming to an end soon, we’re bound to get some actual official news.

Liam Gallagher isn’t doing a solo album

In a serious of random tweets, Liam declared he’s not doing a solo album. Hopefully it means he’s teaming up with people who aren’t doing the old UK rock-cliche.
