During Miami Music Week, Steve Aoki let it be known that his Neon Future album would be split into two parts, and today he made a number of announcements surrounding this occasion. First off, Neon Future I will be released on August 12, 2014 via Ultra, with Neon Future II being released some time in early 2015. Out now is his new single, “Rage the Night Away,” which features Waka Flocka and can be heard down below.

Neon Future I is said to feature Fall Out Boy, Empire of the Sun, will.i.am, Flux Pavilion, Bonnie McKee, and Machine Gun Kelly, as well as the aforementioned Waka Flocka track. Word is that Aoki will be celebrating with a special performance at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, August 16. This is supposed to be one of his select run of U.S. shows to promote Neon Future I, and is said to feature “top-notch productions, a multitude of special guests and of course rafts and cake.” This show will also be streamed via YouTube. Tickets will be going on sale for this MSG show on May 9 at 12PM via steveaoki.com.

Release Date pushed back

Added

The release date for STEVE AOKI’s new studio album NEON FUTURE has been pushed back to September 30. Originally slated for August 12, the new release date will allow for additional production needs on the existing tracks.

As a result of the album being pushed back, the Madison Square Garden show, originally set for August 16, has also been postponed. The album was always meant to be released in advance of the performance as each ticket includes a copy of the new album. A new date is currently being scheduled and will be announced shortly.

There’s a discrepancy with the song title for his song with Flux Pavilion. The track listing on iTunes as well as the image in the official audio on YouTube read ‘Get Me Outta Here’ while the video’s title and description read ‘Get Me Out Of Here’.
