Amenra (also spelled “Amen Ra”) is a post-metal band from Kortrijk, Belgium. The band was formed in 1999 after the demise of the Belgian hardcore band Spineless by three of its members and went on to be one of the most significant European bands worldwide in this genre. According to the vocalist of the band Colin H. van Eeckhout the new album is going to be "the slowest and heaviest album they've done".
The album will be released somewhere this year, through Neurot Recordings. It is recorded with the help of Billy Anderson. Recording takes place in La Chapelle, a recording studio in an old chapel in the Belgian Ardennes.
