Saxophone savant Colin Stetson is about to unleash the final installment in his New History Warfare series. New History Warfare Vol. 3: To See More Light is out April 30 via Constellation, and four tracks on the album feature vocals from Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. (Stetson has been a member of Bon Iver for the past couple of years.)
The LP was recorded live in single takes, with Vernon's vocals being the only sounds overdubbed. It was mixed by Ben Frost, the Australian composer who has worked with Nico Muhly and Tim Hecker, and worked with Stetson on Judges. The title track, "To See More Light", is 15 minutes long-- the longest piece Stetson has recorded to date.
somebody must leak this. i will buy 5 copies when it’s released (seriously. i mean, i drove 4 hours on a sunday night to one of his shows. i’m legit) but i cannot wait that long.
I found the leak in that blog, “The dark center of the universe.” It does contain a link, and it is legit. The songs are 320 kbps. I don’t know what Beulahland is, though. I’m so glad this leaked. Happy listening, guys.
The two blogs links a zippyshare download. It’s only 58.89 MB so either it’s not complete or it’s really bad quality.
Obviously you haven’t downloaded it and listened to it.
