The second album "Abominor" is scheduled for a November 2013 release as 180 gram black vinyl limited to 300 copies, and the album will also be available digitally worldwide.

RISING is a Copenhagen three-piece creating and performing its own brand of heavy, aggressive, atmospheric, yet melodic metal music. Since the band’s formation in 2008, RISING has made its mark in the present metal scene with a modern approach to the classic metal virtues of savage energy, monstrous riffing and a strong melodic sense combined with passionate performance and organic, analogue sounds. Stylistically the band incorporates metal, 70’s hard, progressive and psychedelic rock, punk, sludge etc. and by doing so creates MUSIC rather than submerging to any stylistic dogma, a certain scene or genre has to offer.

Their new album "Abominor" marks the end of an era but also new beginnings as the album drummer Johansen and singer/bassist Hald have left the band.

Main composer, guitarist and remaining member Jacob Krogholt has teamed up with original drummer Martin Niemann, who formed the band alongside Krogholt in 2008, performed on the debut-EP as well as co-wrote tracks from the “Legacy of Wolves”-single and “To Solemn Ash”. Krogholt and Niemann will continue RISING with a new line-up and are currently busy writing new material to be recorded and performed live in the course of 2014.
