Where You Stand is the seventh album from Travis. The harmonic pop, piano solo and jangling guitars will be instantly recognisable to fans of the Scottish quartet - Fran Healy, Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop and Neil Primrose - who have recorded this album in London, Norway, New York as well as Berlin's legendary Hansa studios, where the sounds for their breakthrough hit 'The Man Who'.
There have been two tracks lifted from the album, Another guy and Where You Stand. Listen to the first single, the albums title track, below. The new single marks a return to the acoustic sound of the band's previous releases and is described by the band as being 'the most emotional track' on the new album.
Really hoping this is a true return to form for Travis. Their last proper record, Ode to J. Smith, was solid enough and had some phenomenal tracks, but was lacking as a record. Fran Healy’s solo record, Wreckorder, felt and sounded more like a proper follow up to 2007’s Boy With No Name than J. Smith.
Cannot wait to hear this one!

Love this band! I rather thought they had disappeared after “The Invisible Band”… although that would be pretty cliché of them. Glad to find they aren’t gone for good!
