Watchtower is a progressive/technical thrash metal band from Austin, Texas. In 2010, Watchtower released an early mix of 'The Size Of Matter', the only known track from the upcoming release; this was the first new piece of music released by the band since their 1989 album, 'Control & Resistance'. Alan Tecchio performs vocals on the track, but has since left and will be replaced on the album.

Three new songs were released in 2015, "M-Theory Overture", "Arguments Against Design" and "Technology Inaction", individually on iTunes and CD Baby. They reunited with Alan Tecchio for the sessions of these tracks. He will be the lead vocalist again.

In 2016, it was announced that a new EP, called Concepts of Maths: Book One is scheduled to be released in this year, with the four previous song and a new track, Mathematica Calculis.

It´s not confirmed what will happen with the rest of the songs, if will be released as EP´s or with the entire album, which is not confirmed anyether
