Damon McMahon's Amen Dunes project has always mixed traditional song structures with lower-than-low-fidelity production, but "Lonely Richard" sounds like McMahon's stepped up his recording game a bit, with a chugging melody backed by what sounds like droning sounds spiritually related to the din happening in the background of the Velvet Underground's "The Black Angel's Death Song". "Lonely Richard" is taken from the new Amen Dunes LP, the plainly titled Love, which sees release on May 13 via Sacred Bones.
