It's been confirmed that Bob Dylan will release a new album in 2015. In the boxset for The Basement Tapes Complete: The Bootleg Series, Volume 11 there's a note stating that "'Bob Dylan, Shadows in the Night,' New album coming in 2015".
There's not much information about the album at this point, but its likely to be a cover album. Dylan released "Full Moon and Empty Arms" earlier this year, "a pop song based on a work by classical pianist and composer Sergei Rachmaninoff that was most famously performed by Frank Sinatra in 1945".
Hopefully a track list and a confirmed date will surface soon.
Since Tempest was a stellar album, I’m anticipating a new one. Hopefully it won’t all be covers.
