Candy Hearts is the project of Mariel Loveland, Christian Migliorese, Kris Hayes, and Christina Picciano. Their sugary brand of punk-tinged indie delivers just the right amount of 90s nostalgia. Loveland’s introspective lyrics create a portrait of youth for all that it is—care-free, innocent, and fun, yet uncertain, lonely, ambivalent, and pissed-off.
Candy Hearts are excited to announce a June 10th release date for their forthcoming new album, All The Ways You Let Me Down. This 11-song album will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats from Bridge Nine subsidiary Violently Happy Records. The first album single, "I Miss You", will make its premiere on April 1st - more news on that coming soon.
All The Ways You Let Me Down was recorded with Chad Gilbert and Paul Miner in Los Angeles, CA, and is the followup to Candy Hearts' The Best Ways To Disappear EP which was released in late 2012 on the same label collaboration. The EP was praised by publications like Alternative Press, Big Cheese, AbsolutePunk and MTV Buzzworthy, and this new full-length is sure to please any fan of Candy Hearts' previous work and any fan of pop-punk persuasion.
Since joining Violently Happy Records, Candy Hearts have polished and developed their '90s-influenced pop-punk/rock sound to boast shinier hooks and crunchier guitars while retaining the playfully heartbroken and otherwise fun demeanor of their early material. Their first full-length in nearly three years, All The Ways You Let Me Down features 11 songs produced by New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert and expectedly bouncy hooks aplenty.
