hello. hi. my name is andrew falkous and i play in the band future of the left which operates not at all as regularly as we like. i used to play in the band mclusky. in march this year I lost my job, such as it was, so I decided to make an album at home. this is it. if you like it, please consider buying it.
individual songs (cough*tracks*cough) are £1 which i'd encourage you not to buy for all kinds of reasons, most of which are mine (I make much less because of paypal charges) – £6 for the whole album is a pretty nice deal, i think. you'll feel particularly silly if you buy just 'say hello to nobody', it's about eight seconds long.
cd i'm going for £8 plus postage. there'll probably be lyrics because you pricks always ask for them. by the way, i don't think you're pricks but you have to admit that you like to act tough sometimes.
i recorded this at home for which I thank my wife, neighbours and cats (bonsai and genghis, take a bow). the self-same wife, Julia Ruzicka, played bass on the song 'soft power itches'. Stuffy, also known as Stephen Gilchrist, played some drums over several of the songs to make them sound better. Lewis Griffiths helped out with that recording and pointed me in the right direction with mixing. Michael Byzewski, who has provided mclusky and future of the left with much great poster, cover and t-shirt art over the years (as part of Aesthetic Apparatus) did that there cover design that you can see somewhere on this page. Sean Magee, who i've worked with for ten years, mastered it. i'm not really one for constructive criticism (seriously, fuck you*) but Julia, Mike, Matt, Adam, Ryan and Nicky were all pretty good to me. yeah, I know, get a room.
i thank them all. oh, and me mam. she's great.
*not really. I think.
Good!
