The band was founded in 1996 and released its debut album The Dark Discovery in 1998.
Earlier this year, frontman Tom S. Englund checked in from Division Two Studios, Sweden: "I am sitting here in what feels like the black heart of distorted guitars and heavy drums trying to sort what material to be chosen for the new Evergrey album that will be brought to you by our new record label AFM! While the music might be the most contemplated and dark pieces we have written - and while the sheer amount of music we have the pleasure to choose from is more than ever, we are super psyched and pleased to have chosen a label that believes in Evergrey!
The new album was recorded in a few different studios and mixed in Denmark at Hansen studios by Jacob Hansen.

Honestly, I’m really shocked with all the reviews of the disc from unknown music review websites that it hasn’t leaked once. At this rate, I will probably receive my Ltd Edition Box before it leaks. I guess, I have to wait..old school style, lol.
That and they had a release party where they handed out copies of the album so it’s actually very surprising.
This is exactly why I can’t figure it out. The copy was IN-HAND at ProgPower last week and plenty of copies are being listened to as we speak… but no leak? My life sucks.
I check a few places a few times a day. Hopefully over the weekend.

You probably will. People have already started receiving them. Which makes this whole situation even more unbelievable. This is the first time in a very long time that I’ve seen people with physical copies and no leak.

If you access Evergrey’s facebook page you’ll see plenty of people who already received the physical copy. I live in Brazil, i bet it will take at least a month to arrive here in my place. It is fu**in unbeliavable it has not leaked yet.

I don’t even know what to say. Haha. A lot of people have the physical release at this point but I guess nobody wants to rip it.
Maybe each album comes with a note from Tom saying “If you put this album on the internet prior to the 26th then your house will explode.”

i’m fu**in’ pissed off too, man… i would have done this too, but unfortunately i live in Brazil. Everything else here sucks and it’s not different with our post office. Being optimistic, I know i’ll have to wait at least 1 month more to receive my CD.

Oh, hey, it “leaked.” Wayyyyy in advance too. I’m happy it did but somebody please tell me how this happened. It barely leaked. It’s hours away from official release. People have had copies of this for WEEKS. I really don’t get it.

Well it was fun waiting with you all, my pre-order box still hasn’t come in which sucks but at least I can listen to the album until it comes in. I’ve probably been able to listen to it 5-6 times all the way through so far between work and such.
