Generationals is a duo consisting of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer. Joyner and Widmer, friends since high school and headmen of the Generationals since 2008, hail from New Orleans and are the remnants of the The Eames Era.
Natural songwriting partners, they made their first three records (2009's Con Law, 2011's Actor-Caster, and 2013's Heza) at home with the help of mutual friend Daniel Black, and in 2013 they quickly got to work on a new album after finishing their tour. The band also has 2 EP's, 2010's Trust and 2012's Lucky Numbers.
For Alix, the duo worked with producer Richard Swift at his National Freedom studio in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The album will likely comprise of signature Generationals attributes: catchy songwriting and vocals, complex rhythmic beats, and powerful guitars.
