Interpol have announced the release of their new album El Pintor (that's Spanish for "the painter"). The follow-up to to 2010's self-titled LP arrives September 9 in North America and September 8 internationally.
The band recorded the LP at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound in New York City with James Brown (Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters), while mixing was handled by Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails) in London.
Interpol accompanied their announcement with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album, directed by Adam Levite.

It was how I got into them and forced me to listen to De-Loused for an entire year, just an entire year listening to that and only that.

Well, I loved the album. It’s their best since Antics (my opinion), so… yeah, I’d agree with @lioninacoma, it’s their best album in a decade. Hope you guys liked it too!
my thoughts exactly. Turn on the Bright Lights and Antics are definitely still my favorites, but its really refreshing to hear some new Interpol since last album was a joke.
Definitely miles ahead of the previous two (OTLA-S/T)
Need a few more listens to see how it stacks up against the first two, but initially this feels like the follow we never got! Loving it
