British synth pop singer Elly Jackson, aka La Roux, has announced a followup to her eponymous 2009 debut. Trouble in Paradise is out July 7 on Polydor. Hear the track "Let Me Down Gently" above. It premiered today on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show. Update: That's the album cover up there.
For Trouble in Paradise, Jackson worked with co-producer Ian Sherwin. The last record was written and produced with Ben Langmaid.
When I like 50% of the album or more, I mark it as AWESOME in my book. In this case, I love 7 out of 9. The 2 that I keep skipping: Paradise Is You and The Feeling. The rest is just disco heaven. Congrats, La Roux! x
