"Polish "extreme death/black" metal band LOST SOUL is mixing its new album, "Atlantis - The New Beginning", at Sound Division Studios with Arek "Malta" Malczewski for a summer release via an as-yet-undisclosed label. The CD will contain ten new songs on the standard edition and three bonus tracks on the special edition.

Comments LOST SOUL's Jacek Grecki (guitars, vocals): "We are currently working on the final sound of our new brainchild and collecting ideas for album artwork.

"We are very proud of what we've written.

"It might seem that after an album like 'Immerse in Infinity', it might be hard to outdo ourselves artistically, but I think we succeeded. I am also quite pleased with the lyrics for this album. Lyrical layer is very mature, and is quite consistent with the conceptual nature of the entire album. The music itself has kept its extreme direction, but we took on a little darker atmosphere this time. The album is a little slower, and much more powerful than the previous, but from the first notes you know it is LOST SOUL. It begins with a faster, punishing tracks and then goes down to medium and slow tempo, and finally shows how 'catchy' fast, technical, brutal extreme music can get.

"'Atlantis' sounds very lively compared to previous albums due to the fact that for the first time in history of the band, each of us recorded their respective instrument tracks."

Atlantis –The New Beginning

Added

“Atlantis –The New Beginning“ is the promising title of the forthcoming fifth album by Polish death metal force Lost Soul. The new full length effort was once again produced by mastermind Jacek Grecki himself. The mixing and mastering was done afterwards by none other than Wojtek and Sławek Wiesławski in the renowned Hertz Studio.

Grecki is very satisfied with the band’s new material:

“ ‘Atlantis’ is damn fast, heavy, evil, dark, spacious, extremely massive and technical. It's no doubt a full-blown, merciless metal album. We managed to structure it in a way so you can hear the evil, darkness, air and power. Speed was not our focus. While complicated parts are still there, it is a very listenable record by all means. The album is less intense than previous. You can find more slow to mid tempos. Damian and Maro did a few vocal parts. We also invited several guests, among them was Dave Suzuki, who did one solo. We have two women's voices and a friend of ours recorded a flamenco guitar part. A few songs and interludes feature choir parts (Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra) – which is already like the icing on the cake. On top of that - my vocals."

On October 30th, “Atlantis – The New Beginning” will be released worldwide via Apostasy Records. It will be made available as a limited deluxe edition, as a jewelcase edition and as a download. A vinyl version of the album will be released in February 2016 via Supreme Chaos Records.
