Paul Oakenfold Trance Mission

Paul Oakenfold has announced the release of his Trance Mission album, a collection of covers of trance classics refitted with modern production sounds. Due out on June 20 via Armada Records and Oakenfold’s Perfecto Records, the new album includes reinterpretations twelve trance tracks Oakenfold views as the most iconic and influential of all time, including Tiesto’s “Adagio For Strings and Oakenfold’s own “Ready Steady Go.”

Most of the material was worked and previewed on Oakenfold’s tour of the same name, and the DJ/producer is quick to note the tracks are not remixes, instead they are completely original compositions using only the notation of the original riff. The full tracklist for the album is below, and the release will be available to preorder from on May 23.
