Powerman 5000 returns with their first collection of all new material in nearly five years. Builders of the Future is set to arrive May 27 via T-Boy Records/UMe.
“Builders of the Future is our first album of original material since 2009 and in that stretch of time we’ve expanded our sound and influences,” comments band leader and sole remaining original member Spider One, who founded Powerman 5000 with a 4-track and a drum machine. “Make no mistake, our tried and true anthemic, electro metal mash up is still intact, but we’ve added some shit that for sure will turn heads. From the full-on backbreaking assault of the opening track ‘Invade Destroy Repeat’ to the dark restraint of murder ballad ‘I Want to Kill You,’ this album is by far our most ambitious journey to date.”

This album is great. I don’t have enough points to report the leak but it was ‘leaked’ by Amazon a month ago when they put the album up for pre-order. There was some kind of glitch that resulted in the entire album being downloaded instead of the one song “How To Be A Human” that you were only supposed to get for pre-ordering the album.

Sigh. You do realize that the album is not to be released for another month. All Amazon takes is pre-orders. The album is not in their possession. LOL If the albums were distributed in advance to places accepting pre-orders, then there would be a total mess with albums being pirated in advance. Sigh, over crowded day on planet stupid.
I don’t know why you’re in so much denial over people claiming that they have a digital copy of the record already. I can confirm that Jacob has heard it because I have too. Stop getting sassy and salty with people just because you don’t have it yet. It’s not really cool, y’know?

Can argue with them all you want. They just don’t understand that because a site like amazon, or whatever sell a digital download. They don’t have possession to distribute. Especially when they claim to hear the album before it is even completely mastered for release. And Jordan, I’ve heard new tracks too. lololol I’ve seen them performed live as well, a week ago.
Okay, so if you’re going to take that road, then why ask for the opening lyrics to a song that the band has openly let the world know? I saw ’em back in Johnson City, TN about two-and-a-half weeks ago, and “Evil World” or “I Want to Kill You” weren’t played, but I can letcha know that the intro to “Evil World” goes like “I think that I’m gonna make it in this evil, evil world.”
But the point still stands as Jake said, it was a mistake. Amazon probably has all of the files hosted somewhere and an error allowed those who pre-purchased to download all of the tracks instead of “How To Be A Human” only. It was fixed within hours of the initial mistake. Get over yourself, and stop being jealous.
Sorry, you guys can doubt me and Jordan all you want but we know what we have is ‘final product’, the album is complete and has been complete for awhile now. It was sold on accident, but I can verify that I have paid for the album in full via Amazon.
