I’m happy to announce that my new album “Hand. Cannot. Erase.” is now finished and will be released on Kscope in February. More news and previews soon, including information on how to pre-order a very special deluxe edition.
In the meantime the first tour dates in the UK and Europe are confirmed, see below. We are currently developing a show that I hope will raise the bar both musically and visually from previous tours, with a set list based around the new album, as well as casting the net further back into my songwriting past for a few surprises.
Does anyone have the title track? Kscope said it’s available by pre-ordering the album on iTunes.
It does appear that by pre-ordering the $12 MP3 “deluxe edition” from iTunes, that you will “receive items from the pre-order as they become available”, and yes, the title track is now available for download on both iTunes and Amazon. I believe Amazon works the same way, but I’m not 100% sure…
Now, I pre-ordered the actual Deluxe Box Set from Burning Shed, which unfortunately, does NOT include a DL link for the title track… (Not cool Burning Shed/Kscope!!) *Especially when we’re talking about spending over $100. I had to purchase the title track separately from Amazon. I’m willing to bet SW would disapprove w/ the nonexistent track link here, given his views/love as a fan himself, of the overall experience of owning a physical album, w/ actual pull out artwork, etc, etc. Plus, I know he actually sees some $ from this kind of purchase, and he deserves every penny as far as I’m concerned. The man is a genius & I thoroughly support everything he does. Even if it means buying the same track twice!

It’s quite a nice little pop track. Exactly what you’d expect from SW. Lots of nice little hooks and melodies, and some great instrumentation. Definitely worth a listen, I’m so excited for this album. Deluxe edition come to daddy.

Great title track, more pop-ish sounding than usual.
Very reminiscent of Wilson’s work with Geffen on Blackfield.
I had the chance to listen to the album in its entirety thanks to a promotional streaming of the album supplied by Kscope and dedicated to press editors – I won’t share the link with you however for obvious reasons.
All I can say is that Hand. Cannot. Erase. is a pretty strong album, although very different from The Raven That Refused to Sing. It is popper indeed, but also still has these raging and furious guitar segments that are very reminiscent of what Wilson released with Porcupine Tree back in the days, and more particularly on The Sky Moves Sideways.
Hand. Cannot. Erase. blends pop-ish songs like the title track with long and mesmerizing tracks like “Home Invasion”, “3 Years Older” or “Ancestral” (those 3 are by far my favorite tracks on the record), and that’s what make its strength: there’s some variety in the tones of the album while still being self-consistent and relevant. Can’t wait for you guys to hear it, ’cause that’s definitely going to be one of the top albums of 2015!

Oh wow. This is amazing. I’m so hyped for this album and so glad I preordered the Deluxe. I’m usually not a fan of leaks. But I’m loving getting this album a little at a time. It’s like trying to slowly piece together the puzzle. I can’t wait to hear what’s still to come.
