The Gaslight Anthem are an American rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed in 2006. The band consists of Brian Fallon (lead vocals, guitar), Alex Rosamilia (guitar, backing vocals), Alex Levine (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Benny Horowitz (drums, percussion).
On "Get Hurt"
In an interview with Rolling Stone published May 23, 2014, Fallon describes the new record, which is due in late summer 2014, as "completely different than anything we had ever done before. Instead of going that extra step of just adding some organ or some background vocals, this time we actually really changed up a lot of the sounds."
After listening to the teaser video I’m really not sure what to expect from this record. Really doesn’t sound like Gaslight until the vocals kick in. Which is fine, I’m all about experimentation in sound and I doubt Brian’s song writing will take a dive. Anyone else have any thoughts on the matter?
I agree that until the vocals kick in it doesn’t sound a lot like other Gaslight stuff but on the flipside of that – Brian has always been a fantastic songwriter and Alex’s guitar playing is exceptional as usual. I cannot wait to hear the entire album and fully expect to be blown away as I have been with every other of their albums.
Completely understand what you’re saying though but keep the faith!

I’m love with this song. I like the official single but this is lyrically stunning. I love it.
Release date moved up one week to August 5th!
It was originally supposed to be released on August 19th. It has been moved up a week, but is now going to be released on August 12th.
