London singer-songwriter Elderbrook makes lilting pop songs that are rich in percussion and vocal texture, somewhere between Jamie Woon and Jai Paul. "Be There Soon," the bubbling single taken from his second EP Travel Slow, sees the 21-year-old—real name Alex Kotz—cast his eye out over the horizon for a surf-ready, sunlit journey. “'Be There Soon' is a song that, in many ways, is about gaining perspective," the 21-year-old artist told The FADER over email. "This idea is relayed through the story of a traveller's slow journey to the coast in search of a past love."

Following on from his debut EP last year, 21-year-old Londoner, ELDERBROOK returns with his second EP, Travel Slow. With the pressure of a number one Hype Machine track from his debut EP, Elderbrook set himself a pretty high benchmark to maintain with EP number two.

It is safe to say Elderbrook is an emerging talent to keep your eyes on. Travel Slow picks up where both Could EP and Simmer Down EP left off. It offers up the same deep, brooding vocals however they still have an approachable almost upbeat tone. They are meshed with an electronic tempo that combines the sound of synthesised guitar meets electronic simplistic (yet highly effective) percussion.

The first release from the EP ‘Be There Soon’ is electronica meets modern day crooner. The backing vocals add a smoky layer to the track, which features heavily a soft, muted guitar layer meshed with what at time almost sounds like simple finger clicks in the percussion department.

Black Butter will release Travel Slow on August 24th.
