Back in 2013, rising duo GEMS made its mark with Medusa, a four-track EP full of dream pop charm. Now, some two years later, the Washington, DC outfit is readying its return: They’ll release a full-length called Kill the One You Love on October 30th via new label home Carpark Records (Toro y Moi, Speedy Ortiz).
To accompany the album announcement, the two-piece has shared a preview in “Living as a Ghost”. Slightly more aggressive than their past offerings, the track evokes the buzzing hypnotics of Phantogram.
