“Used to Love You” is the first new music from Stefani since she confirmed the news of her split from Gavin Rossdale in August.
"I just want to share a song that I wrote recently," she said to the crowd before beginning the performance, according to People. "This song is really special."
Stefani sang the tune – with seemingly personal lyrics like “I thought I was the best thing that ever happened to you” and “I guess nobody taught you how to love” -- while a video featuring her own emotive facial expressions played on a big screen behind her.
“Used to Love You” was reportedly produced by J.R. Rotem. On Twitter, Stefani revealed that it will be her new single.
