German progressive metal masters OBSCURA are poised to return with fifty-two minutes of their most expansive, dynamic, and innovative music to date! 'Akroasis' is due out February 5, 2016 via Relapse Records.
Five years since the release of the universally-acclaimed Omnivium, OBSCURA are poised to return with their strongest and most dynamic release to date. The aptly-named Akroasis (Greek for “hearing” or “listening“) draws on all the various elements of OBSCURA‘s signature sound and combines those qualities into a mind-blowing and cohesive whole.
the spirit of Obscura died within three years after Thesseling, Grossmann and Muenzner left the group.
Mark you should check the new track out , it is sounding huge and epic. Give it a try
Yeah I thought it might be crappy mark but its actually very awesome!
Riffing sounds like Retribution. Not really an outstanding album like their previous albums Cosmogenesis and Omnivium Sorry :(
I thought this album was right up there with Omnivium as far as quality goes. I miss having Hannes Grossmanns influence in it but i still think it is a well done album. That being said I think Alkaloid (The band all the old members formed) is a good bit better.
