"Troye Sivan has announced the release of some Wild new music, due out later this year.
The YouTube superstar made the album announcement at VidCon's closing ceremonies via a pre-recorded video on Saturday, July 25.
On his YouTube channel, Sivan describes the Wild set as an "opening installment, a 6 song keyhole to introduce you guys to all of the music I've got coming in 2015." Release dates for Wild and any further music have not been announced. Billboard has reached out to Capitol Records for additional information.
The new music "has my heart and my soul in it," Sivan says in the video, "and I've never worked at something as hard as I've worked at this." He also teases that he "met and collaborated with some of my favorite artists ever" on the project. The album will be released on Capitol in the United States.
Wild follows Sivan's first EP, TRXYE, which debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 2 on the Digital Albums chart. It launched the single "Happy Little Pill," which reached No. 5 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart and No. 92 on the Billboard Hot 100. Sivan also recently charted as a featured act on Zedd's "Papercut" (from Zedd's recently released True Colors album), which hit No. 31 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
TRXYE has sold 70,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music. Its five songs have sold a combined 371,000 downloads."

Sivan is ready to break out in the Electronic genre. I’m happy that he is creating music, as he is obviously very good at it.
