Tale Of Us start Afterlife label with Realm Of Consciousness compilation.
The Italian duo's new outlet is launching next month.
Tale Of Us are starting a new record label called Afterlife.
Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri already run a party series called Afterlife: in 2016 the duo have a residency at Space in Ibiza, and they've also got a party coming up in Barcelona this month. They'll start the Afterlife label with Realm Of Consciousness, a ten-track compilation containing one new Tale Of Us track ("Lies") alongside tunes from the likes of Recondite, Ryan James Ford, Locked Groove, Mind Against, Woo York and Monoloc. We caught up with Tale Of Us via email this week to find out more about the project.
Tell us about the concept behind the label.
Initially we created Afterlife to organise club nights and shows to reflect our vision of music and take the crowd on a journey. We also want to push artists we believe in and are surrounded by so it was a very organic evolution to start Afterlife, the label. Both the events and the label will complement each other.
Beyond the compilation, what else can we expect in the coming months?
This summer we'll be focusing on the residency at Space but we've got some nice releases lined up for the fall. We will try to keep a balance between dance floor and more experimental/leftfield stuff. We are also writing an EP ourselves to be hopefully released before the end of the year.
