Arrows to Fire is a USA rock band based out of Austin, Texas formed by lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player John Joyo and lead guitarist Chris Lavigne. The songwriting duo are joined by longtime friend and veteran rock bassist Steve Bernal and drummer Brian Mendes. Energetic guitar riffs, a tight big-rig driving rhythm section and powerful vocals combine to produce smart songs that will ring in your head for days.
The band formed in 2016 as part of a movement to revive the glory days of alternative rock with a modern twist and a nod to the 90’s. Austinite Joyo & French-American guitar player Lavigne began casually writing music together and decided to take the project to the next level. Once it was time to add a rhythm section Joyo called Bernal, and after hearing the music they immediately decided to join forces. Bernal brought a new dimension to the music that is grounded, powerful, and disciplined. The group was completed by Austin and Los Angeles drummer Brian Mendes’ huge beats.
Arrows to Fire brings back what people love about rock n’ roll while adding something new and fresh with traces of rock, punk, pop, alternative, and classic vibes in the music. Since their public launch in 2017, Arrows to Fire plays regular gigs in Austin with their sights firmly set on a global stage.
